Victorinox awarded for its innovation force

The "Center for Innovation" at St. Gallen University (HSG) and htp management consulting, also based in St. Gallen, analyzed for the very first time the innovation force coming from Swisscompanies. From the 790 named companies Nestlé was mentioned first in the ranking of the 12 most innovative Swiss enterprises. Victorinox accomplished a remarkable 10th position in the total ranking, scoring mainly in the chapters "products" and "sustainability". In the division "producer of consumer goods" Victorinox is listed 2nd sharply behind Nestlé. The authors concluded that for the perception towards the  public not the number of innovations is crucial, but the quality of the individual innovations. Therefore companies which consequently follow a "really innovative idea" over the years are perceived more innovative than companies that continuously modify and renew their products.
